Effective application of the Automotive Core Tools

IATF16949 places even more emphasis on employee and internal/second party auditor understanding of the relevant Automotive Core Tools, namely APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC and PPAP.

Evidence has shown that this is a common area for nonconformities in external third party audits to IATF 16949, with over 20,000 nonconformities raised globally in 2016 related to lack of effective implementation of the tools!

For organizations to release people for training for a day or more is becoming increasing difficult.

Process Capability

IATF 16949 requires at any employee involved in the collection, analysis and management of statistical data understand the concept of process capability. This video introduces the concept of process capability including the widely used indicators Cpk and Ppk.
